The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-HABITAT, is the United Nations agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.

8-80 cities

8-80 Cities is a non-profit organization based in Toronto, Canada. It is dedicated to contributing to the transformation of cities into places where people can walk, bike, access public transit and visit vibrant parks and public places. Its approach is to engage communities at all levels and across multiple sectors to inspire the creation of cities that are easily accessible, safe and enjoyable for all.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB)

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty. Its mission is to help its developing member countries reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of their people. Despite the region's many successes, it remains home to two-thirds of the world's poor. ADB is committed to reducing poverty through inclusive economic growth, environmentally sustainable growth, and regional integration. Its main instruments for helping its developing member countries are policy dialogue, loans, equity investments, guarantees, grants, and technical assistance.

Clean Air Asia

Clean Air Asia has more than 200 organizational members, eight Country Networks and the Clean Air Asia Center as its secretariat. Clean Air Asia’s mission is to promote better air quality and livable cities by translating knowledge to policies and actions to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from transport, energy and other sectors.


EURIST (European Institute for Sustainable Transport) is a non-governmental organization promoting policies that improve the environmental, social and economic sustainability of transport and mobility around the world. Their work focuses on the relation between transport and CO2 emission reduction, transport and the Millennium Development Goals, Poverty Alleviation, Environmental Protection, Road Safety and Freight. EURIST works with an extensive network of national and international partners.


Despacio is a non-profit organization that conducts research to promote quality of life in all stages of the life cycle and works in productive, educative and reproductive sectors, seeking to challenge the intuitive in their respective fields of knowledge by performing applied research to improve the welfare of the community in general. Despacio develops and implements projects to make people feel good, generally based on the Slow Movement   philosophy in every aspect of life.

The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is a global association of experienced professional planners. The objectives of ISOCARP are to improve cities and territories through planning practice, training, education and research. ISOCARP promotes the planning profession in all its aspects. It keeps its focus on being a politically and commercially independent network of professional planners.
